D BADAMI (D. Badami Fashion Connection) is a design-led woven shirting fabric manufacturer and supplier based in Mumbai, India. Launched in 2017–18, it is a division of Dhingar Silk Mills (P) Limited, part of the Dhingar Group established in 1961 — giving us over six decades of textile manufacturing heritage. The Dhingar Group is one of India's largest menswear shirting fabric suppliers, with annual group production of 1.5 crore (15 million) meters. D BADAMI reached the milestone of 1 million meters per month sold by 2021 and continues to grow.
D BADAMI supplies fabric to 2,500+ corporate and local garment brands. Clients include major names such as Pepe Jeans, Arrow, Mufti, Bombay Shirt Company, Snitch, Siyarams, Reliance, Rare Rabbit, Killer (KKCL), Pothys and Donear. We serve fabric retailers, wholesalers, small garment manufacturers, and national apparel brands across India and internationally.
NOS (Never Out of Stock) qualities — for fabric retail stores & designers: 8 meters per colour (plains and digital prints); for garment brands: 100 meters per colour (plains and digital prints). Newly developed base qualities require a total commitment of 10,000 meters per base — plain dyed 1,000 m/colour, digital prints 100 m/colour, rotary prints 3,000 m/colour — consumed across the base.
NOS stands for Never Out of Stock. Key qualities are maintained in stock year-round, with additional bases stocked seasonally. This enables bulk dispatch within 15 days, MOQs as low as 100 meters per colour, and fast-turnaround replenishment and capsule-drop support. Ideal for brands operating shorter buying cycles or needing in-season flexibility.
Never-Out-of-Stock: key qualities held in stock year-round so brands reorder without development lead times. D BADAMI's NOS dispatches bulk within 15 days.
Made-to-order development of a new base quality. At D BADAMI, programming requires 10,000 meters total per base (plain dyed 1,000 m/colour, digital prints 100 m/colour, rotary prints 3,000 m/colour) with ~90-day development.
NOS fabrics (bulk and sampling): 15 days. Cotton digital prints: approximately 30 days. New development orders: approximately 90 days. Sampling for new base qualities: timeline depends on complexity, advised at the development stage.
We are positioned in the mid-to-premium segment. Pricing varies by composition, construction, and print technique. Final pricing is provided upon enquiry.

The full spectrum of men's shirting: formal (poplin and satin bases), semi-casual (versatile prints and checks on poplin and twill), casual (lyocell linen-look, dobby, oxford), high-end fashion (placement prints, exclusive digital prints, embroidery, premium satin), and relaxed/resort (linen-look lyocell and soft-drape fabrics). Each category has dedicated constructions and GSM ranges.
Yes. Alongside menswear shirting, we develop coordinated kidswear fabric collections — brighter, more playful palettes designed as coordinated stories for matching family wear. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class 1 certification ensures safety for direct skin contact, including for children.
Poplin is a fine, smooth plain weave with a crisp finish; twill has a diagonal rib that drapes softly and resists creasing; oxford uses a basketweave for a textured, heavier feel. D BADAMI weaves all three.
A woven fabric with small geometric patterns made on a dobby loom, giving subtle texture without a printed design — popular for premium men's shirting.
Grams per square meter, the fabric's weight. D BADAMI shirting runs 120–160 GSM — light enough for drape, substantial enough for structure.
